Barbla C. Schaerer studied at the University of Zurich and graduated in economics and psycholoy (lic.oec.publ.). From 2000 to 2004 she was vice-president of the European Association of Political Consultants (EAPC). In 2006 Barbla C. Schaerer founded The Gate Communication. The Gate Communication is a privately owned consultancy for communication, consulting and coaching. The agency specialises in corporate communication, media relations, crisis communication and communication strategies. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Barbla C. Schaerer was managing director at Trimedia and a member of the senior management at Farner PR as well as partner at Frei & Partner Communications. Barbla C. Schaerer is a member of the Swiss PR-Society (BR/SPRG), mentor at the University of St. Gallen and a member of the Association of Swiss Economists.
