In 1968, Michael Carmichael worked
in three US presidential campaigns. Carmichael served as Student Coordinator
for Robert F Kennedy, Press Secretary for Eugene McCarthy and Co-Chairman
of the AFL-CIO GOTV campaign for Hubert H Humphrey. As president of
Diversified Advertising, Carmichael worked in over 100 federal and
state campaigns for major offices and referenda. During the Watergate
investigation, Carmichael advised Senator Sam J. Ervin, Jr. and he
directed the media campaign for Rufus Edmisten. In 1985, Carmichael
moved to the United Kingdom, where he established the Oxford Centre
for Public Affairs. From Oxford, Carmichael advises a large list of
international clients including Morgan Tsvangirai, President of the
Movement for Democratic Change in Zimbabwe and Planetary.
