Invitation

Next Generation in Politics and Consulting

The beginning of the new millennium together with all of its dramatic events has, in drastic manner, shown us that the future of a world living together in harmony is anything but secure.
The web of issues politics is called upon to unravel grows ever more complex, society's expectations and the ability of politics to respond to them drift ever further apart, with the result that people feel they have permanently lost trust in politics and democracy. What requirements do the politicians of the future need to meet in order to deal successfully with the tasks that lie ahead of us? This issue lies at the heart of EAPC's 7th European meeting, which will be held this year in Innsbruck/Austria. Two days of joint discussions between politicians and scientists should culminate in the attempt to find a fresh approach to responses that strengthen the belief and hope in a harmonious and democratic future for our continent.
We would like to take this opportunity to issue a cordial invitation to a quite extraordinary conference which is especially directed at politicians, consultants, campaign managers, journalists, lobbyists as well as those who wish to follow in their footsteps, and already look forward to an event certain to generate enormous interest across the whole of Europe.
