Europe’s leading political consultants and electoral campaigners meet in Zürich

Calendar May 7 to 9, 2009 for one of the most interesting events in the field of political communication and campaigning in the upcoming year: for the 14th annual meeting of the European Association of Political Consultants (EAPC) on the subject of “From local to transnational: The challenge of campaigning in tomorrow’s Europe“.

One of the most prominent Swiss constitutional lawyers gives a speech. Prof. Dr. Thomas Fleiner, a very prominent Swiss constitutional lawyer, will speak in the morning of May 8, 2009 about the topic „Little states in contradiction to large ones?“. We are glad and it is an honour to us that he will appear at the 14th annual meeting of the EAPC (European Association of Political Consultants). Prof. Dr. Thomas Fleiner is the executive of the Institute of Federalism and teaches at the University of Freiburg i. Üe. constitutional law. In 1991/1992 he was mission delegate in the former Yugoslavia and contributed considerably to the creation of the new Constitution.

The 14th annual congress of the EAPC will take place from May 7 to 9, 2009 in Zurich. The conference is a regular rendezvous of dozens of the leading European political consultants and electoral campaigners. The topic of the event: “From local to transnational: The challenge of campaigning in tomorrow’s Europe”. On Friday, May 8, 2009, we will engage in a reflection on the development of transnational governmental structures. On Saturday, May 9, 2009, we will attend to both new techniques and new tools of electoral campaigning. A further core theme are the accounts from the different countries as well as the evaluations of the actual election campaigns in Europe and the USA.

The event will take place at the Zurich Marriott Hotel.
