Welcome to the IAPC Conference, Berlin
November 11 to 13, 2005 • Berlin, Germany
It has been discussed for a long time, now, finally, the time has come:
On Thursday evening, this year's IAPC world conference will be opened
with a get-together event at the chancellor's Office in Berlin.
In the run-up to the conference, Harry Walter and Peter Radunsky in particular
have lobbied for Berlin as the conference location. The invitation was
extended almost ten years ago, now it finally becomes reality. The conference,
which is scheduled to last for three days, will focus on the exchange
of experiences. Another conference highlight will be the election of the
new IAPC board, which alternates between Europe and America every two
years.
This election also effectively ends the presidency of Volker Riegger who
has chaired the association with great success for the past two years.
Berlin, by the way, is the venue of the IAPC conference for the second
time. A conference had already taken place here in 1982, back when the
city was still divided.
