Advisor to speak at the 2008 EAPC Conferencen in Copenhagen

The 2008 EAPC Conference in Copenhagen will include a session with Bo
Lidegaard, who is top advisor to the Danish Prime Minister regarding
issues related to the climate change and the summit in Copenhagen in 2009,
Cop-15. Since 2005, Bo Lidegaard has held the position as Permanent Under
Secretary of State at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Bo Lidegaard has a long career in working with foreign policy issues,
as he has held former positions such as Secretary to the Foreign Affairs
Committee of the Parliament (1996-97), Councellor at the Royal Danish
Embassy in Paris (1997-2000), Representative of Denmark to Unesco, and
latest, Head of Department responsible for the Middle East, Gulf, North
Africa and Latin America.
Besides his professional career as a government official, Bo Lidegaard
is a well-known and respected Danish writer. He is the author of a number
of major publications, and he has won a lot of prices for his writings.
