40th
World Conference of the IAPC
The International Association of Political Consultants (IAPC) organizes
its 40th annual world conference in Bali from November 11 to 15, 2007. In
collaboration with the Asian Pacific Association of Political Consultants,
our sister association too, Conference Co-Chairmen Jonathan Gaul, Pri Sulisto
and Robert Murdoch organize this international meeting of political consultants
at the Grand Hyatt Bali in the Nusa Dua area of Bali.
Among others, the following speakers are already confirmed:
Dr Emil Salim, advisor to the President of Indonesia and former State Minister
for Population and Environment of Indonesia.
Ali Alatas, former Indonesia's foreign minister.
Martin C.M. Lee (Lee Chu Ming) is the founding Chairman (1994 - 2002)
of the Democratic Party, Hong Kong's largest and most popular political
party.
Ralph Munro Well-known as Washington's longtime Secretary of State.
Mubashar Jawed Akbar is a leading Indian journalist and author. He is
the founder and editor-in-chief and managing director of The Asian Age.
Tom Plate is an internationally syndicated columnist and veteran U.S. journalist
who has held senior positions at The Los Angeles Times, TIME, CBS and Newsday.

Board Meeting in
Copenhagen
The EAPC Board has met in Copenhagen to prepare the next conference in
May and to plan the work for the next months till the new Board will be
elected in Copenhagen. Board Member and Conference Chairman Jan Juul Christensen
presented the Conference theme “Public affairs in a Changing Environment”
as well as a preliminary program and PR-activities to promote the Conference.
On October 1 a website will be launched for the Conference with information
about the Conference and about the lovely City of Copenhagen. In the meantime
you can find a small summary on our website at Next
meeting. But this was not the only point on the Agenda. The Board
agreed on a working plan to modernize and improve the Association. A group
is going to work on the modernization of the web and another group is
preparing a plan of action for the future till the Conference in May.
If you are considering becoming a member of the EAPC this is for sure
the moment to join us.
